$39 Glasses —

For the first time in a few years, I have ordered a new pair of prescription glasses. After looking online for the best deal, I came across 39dollarglasses.com. In actuality, my glasses order (including postage & handling) came to about $64 - $39 for the frames themselves (plastic, Meleti) plus almost $20 for lens thinning & another $5 for UPS first class shipping. They come with a standard, black hardcase. When I recieve them, I plan to write another review on the product itself. Also, entering my prescription information was exceedingly easy & the customer service number is posted in large, bold font at the bottom so you don't have to go searching for it in the middle of placing your order!

In response to JazzSinger's comment from Feb 9, 2009 at 5:49AM:

I actually just recieved them in the mail on Saturday. I think I may have to return them because my prescription is so heavy & the frames so tiny, they couldn't adequately thin the lenses. The prescription is perfect but it's like looking through a fishbowl or a soda bottle. I'll keep you updated. :)

I've never had a pair of glasses that didn't need adjusting when I first got them. How did that process work out for you? Where did you bring them?
