I have more cookbooks than any one person ought to have. I love them all - to some extent. But, it's rare when I find one that really stands out way above the others.

I was so excited when I got 300 Slow Cooker Favorites. I stayed up late reading it. LOL. I'm not kidding. I do read cookbooks. In this case, the author actually has loads of terrific intro material that was really helpful. I read all that and then skimmed through the recipes - stopping to read some in detail. I also enjoyed the tips and ideas on the sides. I had such fun that I was definately sleepy at work the next day.

So many of...

I hate cooking it is awful, basically because I cant!! I do try trust me, and want to try cause I have amother who can cook like there's no tomorrow, and I took advantage of that and never once cared to listen or pay attention. Makes being a single parent rough. Basically me and my 6year ols are learning together, however do make her visit grandma for real cooking lessons, and she loves it. My biggest secret, and very pathetic is I have a membership thru scholastic, and we order the kids cook books alot, and thats pretty self explanatory on my knowledge of cooking. I read the making pizza for 6yr... read full review »

I have tried and looked at LOTS of crock pot cookbooks because my house is very busy.  I not only need recipes that help in feeding all but can be easily stored and kept for around the clock feedings.  My crock pot is perfect for this.  This specific crock pot cookbook is actually so well laid out in a step by step fashion with easy to follow instructions that I can have my teenagers cook!  While they don't "like" to help, they never complain when I allow them to cook from this book.  It's quick, fast and easy set up for them make it one "chore" that pays off when it's done.  This book... read full review »

This cookbook has some great recipes. There are many that are quick and easy to prepare within minutes. They are family friendly and most have ingredients that you have on hand in the pantry. It has several recipes that use vegetables for those who are avoiding meat. Most all of the recipes have tips and shortcuts. Overall, this is a great book to have on hand for busy cooks with limited time on their hands.

I have a very demanding job and also a family so balance and mealtime are important to me. This book allows me to create fantastic, nutritional, and tasty dishes while the entire family sits around the table and talks about their day. Meal times in our family is for socializing, not just nuriousment.

I love using my crockpot, but this cookbook makes me want to use it everyday!  I love that there are enough recipes in this book to have a different crockpot meal almost everyday for a year, without repeats.  I love the variety, plus the recipes are healthy.

I got this book as a Christmas gift this year.  I was so excited.

I have tried 7 of the recipes so far, my family loves them, they are really great flavored.  Even my kids won't turn up their noses!

Try out the Savory Chicken, it was awesome!
