30-Minute Meals with Rachael Ray —

Anyone that has ever seen this talented young lady knows she can do amazing things in the kitchen. She is the Hostess of 30 Minute Meals but also appears on other food programs as well. She makes some fantastic meals in 30 minutes and takes the time to explain everything she does.

Some of her exploits

On 30 Minute Meals she fixes everything from Breakfast to Dinner as well as party snacks, dips and soups. She has also done many vegetarian meals including a vegetarian chili that even I would eat and I love meat! A lot of her meals include noodles of every kind since it doesn't take long for them to cook, but she adds a wonderful kick to them. One show was a beef stroganoff type dish and she explained it very well and although I have yet to try it, I imagine even I could pull it off.

She once fixed a Chicken Liver Spread and I love them so I watched intently it sounded good so I wanted to try it. After it was over I got the recipe off the website and made it. I only made 1/2 a batch as I am the only one in my house that likes it, but it was very good.

Rachel also has a show called $40 a Day in which she has to eat Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner for $40 or less. She has been a guest chef on The Iron Chef America where she was paired with Mario Batali. Rachel Ray won a daytime Emmy award in 2006 for outstanding service show for her show 30 Minute meals. She also received a nomination for outstanding service show host for the same show.

You can find her recipes on FoodNetwork.com as well as her website www.rachelray.com and also her bio and some facts about this young up and coming chef. I say chef but she refers to herself as a cook. She has appeared on many shows and commercials and is a very good looking and witty woman.

Although I am sure many thought of it, Rachel Ray is known for her abbreviation of Extra Virgin Olive Oil which she simply refers to as EVO. Her wit and charm shines through in every show she is on and her talent in the kitchen is very impressive. Rachel also has her own non profit organization that helps kids and families come together with food. Her organization is called "Yum-O" just as she calls the dishes she prepares on her 30 Minute Meal Show.

Whether it be beef, pork, chicken, seafood or vegetables Rachel can do a quick and easy meal in 30 minutes and they are great. Her perky personality and fun meals have set her at the top of the food chain so to speak. I love watching her whip up her chili recipes and my mouth waters during every show.

The most memorable dish I can remember is her Spaghetti she cooked on Iron Chef. Instead of water she cooked the spaghetti noodles in wine and from the reactions from the judges it was a real winner. The noodles were a red color and I wish I had Smellevision as it looked like it smelled great.

Bottom Line

Although most think of her only in relation to her 30 Minute Meals Show, Rachel Ray is on many shows and the same wit, personality and ability to think on her feet is evident in every show she is on. If you want to learn how to cook a fast delicious meal then 30 Minute Meals is a great start to learning. I watch her show at least 3 times a week and look forward to each one. I have gotten many ideas from her and the ultimate fantasy (easy guys) would be to prepare a meal with her. Rachel is not only very beautiful but her expertise in the kitchen is outstanding.
