We tried a few different foods for our little puppies (we call them puppies) and they went nuts over this 3-D Cockatiel Food. Every time we go near the cage and reach for a food bowl they know what's happening and they begin their little dance.

3-D Cockatiel Food

This contains all kinds of good stuff for them such as sunflower seeds, millet, ground corn, wheat and molasses as well many vitamins and minerals. We feed them once a day and there is hardly anything left but shells. Cricket our yellow and orange Cockatiel loves to throw the sunflower shells at you to get your attention and when you catch him he whistles at you and dances before doing it again. If I get next to the cage and give him kisses he stops....little guy just loves attention.

Another thing I really like about this 3-D Cockatiel food is that the plastic jar is made from recycled plastic! It makes me feel better knowing I am helping the environment by buying recycled products. The jars also have a nice wide mouth and we use them for other things when they are emptied. I have one in the family room next to my chair that I use as a cookie jar. I have also used them for lemonade and tea for cookouts. One side of the jar has a built in handle so using it for other things makes it handy as well.

More about 3-D Cockatiel Food(according to their website)

It contains NO Chemical Preservatives, has a Resealable PETE Recycled Plastic Jar, Chelated trace Minerals, Complete Range of Minerals, Essentially Dust Free and has NO Added Sugar.

Allergen Information:

This product is produced and stored in facilities that use peanuts, tree nuts, wheat, eggs, milk products and soy, and thus may contain one or more of these ingredients.

As well as Cockatiels it can also be used to feed the following Species of Birds:

Cockatiels, Grass Parakeets, Indian Ringnecks, Moustache, Plumhead (India, Tibet), Australian King, Crimson-Wing. Polytelis (Aust. Origin - Prince of Wales, Barraband, Rock Pebbler) Rosellas (Aust.), Barnards (Aust.) Kakarikis, (New Zealand) Small Conures, (Peach Front, Brown Throat, Green Cheek, Painted, Jenday, Sun, Gold-Cap-Argentina) Caiques (Brazil), Lovebirds, Greycheeks and Parrotlets.

Bottom Line

So it is very versatile in the variety of birds that it can feed. It comes in a 4.5lb container and costs around $5 which is not bad at all for the quality it offers and how much our puppies love the taste of it. The container is made from Recycled Plastic so we know the company cares for the environment. The containers I don't reuse I take to the recycle bin at the grocery store so it can again be used for something else!

Our 3 love it (we had 4 but the young female passed away 2 weeks ago) they go nuts for it. Right near it on the shelf at Walmart they have honey treats that clip to the cage, ours love that too ;)

I'll have to give this a try for my Cockatiel. I've been searching for just the right food for him.
