3:10 to Yuma —

Christian Bale is out to prove that he's more of a man than anyone seems to think he is after losing his leg and his pride in the civil war. Russell Crowe is supposed to be a ruthless outlaw but you figure out that he only kills bad guys - so he's really not such a bad guy. The movie tends to be a bit slow periodically, but all in all, a good film.  You want to cheer the outlaw and the poor land owner on but realize you can't be "for" both. Christian Bale's son is infuriating and needs to have his mouth slapped or washed out with soap for the way he speaks to his parents, but by the end, you end up loving him, too.  All in all, the movie is entertaining and makes you think.  it shows how quickly people come to conclusions about others and how prejudices are simply ignorance. I'd recommend this movie and I'd probably like to watch it again to see if I missed anything now that I understand the plot a little better.
