27 Dresses Review

I watched 27 dresses on its premier night.  No, I did not watch the preview and decide to run to the theatre early in expectation of an hour long line.  I was actually heading out to be with friends and as a mother of a seven month old infant, I had left to leave the house without baby or husband for any fun activity.  Back to the movie, it was a terribly predictable plot with a girl who loves a man who doesn't notice her but then falls in love with a beautiful, vain woman.  The main character is crushed, but find herself drawn to a cynical/slight bad boy while they argue incessantly.  My expectations of this movie were low, but I found myself chuckling at several parts.  Notably a portion of the movie where the main character and her cynical bad boy become trashed and sing Joan and the Jetts to a bar full of cheering regulars. 

I give it three stars for the comfort of an old plot line, but some original laughs which saves it from a one.
