Katherine Heigl and Jeff Marsden star in 27 Dresses, a funny movie about weddings and the women who can't say no! — Plot:Jane loves weddings.  The only problem is she's never been married, she's just in them, (27 to be exact), and plans them, and manages them and saves them. … read full review »

I have to make sure our Netflix queue contains the right percentage of romantic comedies or my wife will give me an earful. Therefore, 27 Dresses recently slipped through the mail slot in the front door. Starring Katherine Heigl (Grey's Anatomy) as a perennial bridesmaid and admitted wedding… read full review »

If you love the idea of "love," this cute, funny and syrupy sweet concoction is a real treat. I have to admit I didn't expect a great deal from this movie, seeing as how the main theme is so similar to several recent "chick flick hits." However, this familiar formula was definitely enhanced by a strong cast, with Katherine Heigl delivering a command performance. — — As with most light and lively films the title pretty much defines the movie, or at least sets the mood... The lovable, but somehow never "loved" Jane is the epitome of the old saying… read full review »

"Always a bridesmaid, never a bride" is the ongoing theme of this romantic comedy.  This is a great chick flick, but a little too predictable.  The movie stars Katherine Heigl as Jane who has been in so many weddings she can hardly count and is always there for her friends to help make their special day perfect.  Yet in heart, Jane dreams of the day she is the bride and her groom is her boss.  She does everything to catch the affection of her cute boss, but never has the guts to tell him.  These feelings are stirred up when her blonde, outgoing sister meets him and… read full review »

27 Dresses is a romantic comedy to cure winter blues and relationship woes. A friend and I went to see this movie at a time when i was not feeling up to it. I did not want to watch a wedding move, but she insisted it was supposed to be funny, so off we went. — — I was so glad she did take me to see it. 27 Dresses is a cute, funny movie about relationships and how one girl was repeatedly a bridesmaid and obsessed with the perfect wedding, but never had the chance to make her own dream wedding a reality. Meanwhile, a handsome young reporter does a story on the girl with the 27… read full review »

I have been eagerly awaiting the release of this movie. I didn't have the chance to see it when it was in the movie theatre, but it is from the creators of 40 year old virgin, a movie that made me laugh harder than I ever have. Going into the movie I thought it was going to be a constant laugh, and it was...but there was romance and heartbreak all within that comedy. It's a story of a girl named Jane, who decides at the age of 8 years old that she wants to be involved in helping with weddings. The beginning of the movie shows an 8 year old Jane, helping her cousin with a wedding dress… read full review »

I watched 27 dresses on its premier night.  No, I did not watch the preview and decide to run to the theatre early in expectation of an hour long line.  I was actually heading out to be with friends and as a mother of a seven month old infant, I had left to leave the house without baby or husband for any fun activity.  Back to the movie, it was a terribly predictable plot with a girl who loves a man who doesn't notice her but then falls in love with a beautiful, vain woman.  The main character is crushed, but find herself drawn to a cynical/slight bad boy… read full review »

We join Jane (Katherine Heigl), a simple girl who has been in love with weddings since she was a small child, as she is again being a bridesmaid (This time for 2 in the same night).  Kevin (James Marsden) notices her and tries to strike up a conversation.  The on screen chemistry between them is fantastic.  Jane, however, is secretly madly in love with her boss (Ed Burns).  When her kid sister Tess comes to visit, the boss falls hard and proposes.  What happens next is nothing short of comedy genius.  Jane has been a bridesmaid no less than 27 times.  Will… read full review »

This is a really cute movie.  It made me smile, laugh, and cry.  The plot was simple but just enough to keep you watching.  The characters were played well by the cast.  27 weddings??  Seems like a lot but I guess when you devote your life to making other people happy it is ok. My daughter and I went to see this movie together.  We laughed, we cried... and in the end we agreed it was one of the best romantic comedies we have seen in a very long time.  Centered around the theme of Always-a-Bridesmaid-Never-a-Bride, this film blends talented writers with equally talented actors to provides a satisfying experience for the movie goer.  Primarily a chick-flick, but all who have ever been in a wedding should see this film.  A touching story with a happy ending.  See it… read full review »

I watched 27 Dresses last night after months of waiting to see it. I was fairly dissappointed. The movie wasn't the worst I have seen, but it didn't live up to my expectations. The story line was dragged out, and only remotely funny at times. Katherine Heigel did a good job in playing her part, but the story line just wasn't there. I was going to give this movie 2 stars but I decided to add a star for acting ability.… read full review »

This movie, wow, was SO incredible! I was able to take my grandmother to see it with me as I'd won two tickets to its screening. I had an amazing time! This is a great romantic comedy and I think even one that everyone can enjoy. I know both me and my grandmother loved it. Wasn't overly sappy or anything. But had a few sweet moments. I'd suggest you go see it if you enjoy romantic comedies at all!… read full review »

This was a cute movie. Extremely predictable but entertaining anyway. I can't stand her (or anyone else for that matter) on Grey's Anatomy but Katherine Heigl just has something about her that makes me want to see more of her. I can't wait for more films from her. I wouldn't say this was worth full price admission to the theatre but definitely not a bad choice for a… read full review »
