2008 Ford Fusion —
I was very surprised with the Fusion. We were looking for a new car, small to mid-sized. We test drove and researched more cars than I care to remember. We actually drove the Tarus first, then the Fusion. The Fusion actually had more passenger room in the front; and I'm a big guy-- 6'0", 400 lbs. I had plenty of room driving, and the passenger seat wasn't bad either. We ended up purchasing the Fusion V6 SEL. The 6 cyl coupled with the 6 speed automatic transmission made for peppy driving-- along with decent economy. A recent trip netted a real 27mpg, between city and highway. The SEL edition is worth the extra $ over the less expensive SE line; the remote alarm and locks are very convenient. The stereo was superb. I definitely recommend the v6 over the inline 4cyl. All in all, I'm pleased with the car.
