What if you could go back and right a mistake?

I caught the movie 13 Going on 30 last weekend on TV. It wasn't a movie that impressed me when it hit theaters a few years ago, so I never gave it a second thought. At the time, I saw it more as a flick for teens.

I'm glad I had the chance to watch it though because it turned out to be a really cute movie with a great love story. I'm a sucker for romantic comedies and couples finding love when the odds are stacked against them.

I was NOT going to waste my time watching 13 Going on 30, or so I thought, when I saw the previews back in 2004. I mean, of all the silly ideas. I'm a fan of the fantasy "What If?" movies, but this was over the edge.

My husband brought it home from the store this weekend since it was [1] on sale [2] he got it confused with another movie and [3] there was nothing new on the TV. I said, "Sure. Let's watch it. Jennifer Garner is pretty, I want to see Mark Ruffalo in another movie, and what can it hurt?"

13 Going on 30 offers a hilarious glimpse into life as a 13 year old mind in a 30 year old's body. The main character soon learns that the past isn't just the past, it's the definition of who you are and who you'll become. Great movie, highly recommended.
