As quickly as Cupid's arrow strikes many couples, Valentine's Day is fast approaching and with it pressure to find the perfect Valentine's treat for your perfect Valentine.  These ten items will help you celebrate those you love, whether they are family, friends, or significant others, with unique gifts and treats that will surprise them with your thoughtfulness. Theses ideas give you a new twist on the traditional or help you find a unique way of expressing your love.

Start your Valentine's Day off early, with these electronic greeting cards from Bluemountain.com.   These are excellent greetings to send to friends, family and loved ones. My favorites are What Kind of Valentine Are You (Quiz) and A Dozen Things I Love about You.  In the dozen things card, your valentine will receive a card a day for 12 days with different reasons why you adore them.

Although Bluemountain.com costs $13.99 to join for one year, you do get the following:  one full year of free online greeting cards, create and print cards in template or custom made, coloring pages, and dozens of other create and print projects for every season of the year. With the average Hallmark Greeting Card cost of 3.49, this is a great deal you if you can send cards electronically; you may never be late again. One of my favorite websites and I never fail to renew my membership. If you don't want to pay for a year, try for free for one month and then cancel or use any one of the free electronic greeting cards.  The variety is wonderful as well as the ability to personalize every greeting.

Have you and your significant other been together a long time? Have lots of photographs and your trips, activities and events?  Try creating your own memory Photo book online at Walgrens.com.  Yes, the drugstore.  Walgreens.com allows you to quickly and easily upload your photos from your home computer and drop and drag them into a premade template for photo albums.  You can choose from several different templates and then customize the number of photos, shape, size and colors.  If you live far away, you can even have it delivered to your Valentine's home or work.  Prices begin at $14.99. Right now the homepage has a promo code for $5.00 off all photo orders for Valentine's Day.

Candy is always associated with Valentine's Day, but what do you do for that really special person who doesn't like chocolate?  Try Jelly Belly Jelly Beans. I admit, I am a Jelly Belly Bean fanatic. I will do just about anything for a bag of these fruity fun flavors and Valentine's Day is no exception.  Jelly Belly Beans offers 13 different flavors in different shades of pink, red and white including Red Apply, Sizzling Cinnamon, Strawberry Cheesecake and Very Cherry.  You can purchase coffee mugs, boxes bags and baskets specially designed for Valentine's Day of these sweet treats. Gifts range in price from $10-$50.00.

But what would Valentine's Day be without Chocolate?  What better way to indulge your love of chocolate and show your Valentine your thoughtfulness than with MyMMs. MyMMS.com has a "Sweetheart Blend" just in time for Valentine's Day. The M&M treats are dark and light pink and white. You can create your own message on up to 8 characters and two lines of text.  Just think of all the secret messages you can send to your Valentine with these chocolate treats.  Or stick to the original lines of "I Love You" and "You're Sweet."  Prices can range from $47.00 to up to $100.00 for an Orrefors Crystal Bowl.

Personalized Golf Balls are available at Ziplinegolf.com.  You can order from several different graphic designs including graphics of hearts and flowers, bears and kisses, and loving greetings. Prices vary based on printing, design and type of ball chosen. For example if you choose one dozen, Pinnacle Gold balls with one imprint will be approximately $27.00 not including shipping and handling. Use your imagination and be ready to have plenty of invitations to go golfing after bring out these designer golf balls.

You can "Name a Star" for your special someone. Name a Star cost anywhere from $19.95-97.00. Your name a star kit comes with a map and other information about your special star that you can give your special someone. My favorite is "Nameastar.com" which began in 1978 and is very reasonably priced. To make this gift extra special, take them out during the evening to a fountain, park or other natural setting where you can point out to them their uniqueness in the form of this special gift.

Beer (or Wine) of the Month Club: In my house, a beer of the month club is always a welcome gift. The Microbrewed Beer of the Month Club provides members with twelve, 12 ounce bottles.  You may join for anywhere between 2-12 months. There are three different beer styles to choose from; microbrews, international and domestic, and international beers only. Prices range from $19.95 -$30.95 a month.

The International Wine of the Month Club allows wine lovers to sample bottles of wine from all over the world.  Prices range from $27.95- $64.00/month depending on the selection.

Jewelry is always a favorite gift especially for women, but during Valentine's Day you can choose something special for men and women in your life.  Now is the time to purchase that new watch for you Valentines (either man or woman) or a personalized pendant with their initials on it.  Pendant lockets are also an excellent choice; include a picture of you, your children or the family inside.  Zales.com allows you to make your purchase online of engraved rings, watches, pendants and lockets. Prices range from $59.00-400.00 depending on your choice of engraving, locket, metal type and color as well as stone.

Flowers are a traditional Valentine's Day Gift. If you don't like the idea of doing what everyone else does and sending a dozen red roses to your Valentine keep these simple rules in mind:

Go ahead, order online, and take advantage of online specials at Teleflora.com, FTD.com and 1800Flowers. If you have an Entertainment book use your discount on these websites.

Remember different flowers, and different colors of roses have different meaning. You can choose those you like or you can try to "symbolize" your love and admiration of someone special by keeping this in mind. Need hints? Try this guide: Green:  Expresses joy and optimism; Lilac: Represents a sincere love; Peach/Orange may also represent a love that has been gratified; Red: burning, passionate love, great courage and desire; Pink expresses a new love or admiration; White expresses purity, innocence, modesty, and sincerity. Instead of a traditional 12 red roses, try lilacs, pink roses, white lilies or any combination that you admire that includes the symbolism of your love.

My last recommendation for a great and unique Valentines Day gift for your significant other is 101 Nights of Great Sex, by Laura Corn.  This red covered book holds secret, hints and tips for both men and women for encouraging romance and sex.  Every other tip includes seduction and romantic tips for "her" or "his" eyes only and encourages spontaneity, romance and creativity in every aspect of your personal life.  Why not surprise your significant other with what you read on the first page for his/her eyes only for Valentine's Day? Guess what - each tip is sealed and can only be read by unsealing it, so you definitely have the element of surprise when you try these seductive tips. Interested?  This book is available on Amazon.com for $19.77.

No matter what you choose to do for your special someone, friends or family for Valentine's Day, be sure to take a moment to let those you love know how special they are to you. It is the thought that counts, and with these special and personalized gifts the special someone in your life will be amazed at the thought and the gift.
