Most people have heard of this florist. It is one of the biggest and most well known. Recently, I had an occasion to send flowers to someone. They needed to be there on a certain day and I went to the site, looked through the offerings, and chose a very pretty arrangement at a premium price. I added some extras and saw my shipping was $12.99. Ouch. I wasn't even getting extra fast shipping. This was a standard order. However, I paid and I made it clear when the flowers were to arrive. I got a confirmation email with what I ordered and I was charged. I thought everything was fine.

A week passed and I heard nothing from the recipient of my gift. Usually people do call to acknowledge such things or at least email. I finally called them to see if my flowers arrived and, to my shock, they had NOT! Furious, I called 1-800-Flowers and demanded to know what happened. They said they use many florists and deliveries and my order may have been "lost". They apologized and offered to send the flowers the next day. WHY BOTHER? I didn't want them anymore. They did everything they could to avoid giving me a refund. I insisted though. I didn't want a discount, I didn't want to resend, I wanted a refund. I finally did get one and, later, a 10% off my next order coupon. Uh, no thanks. I won't be ordering from them again. They burned me once. That is enough for me. I have since read I am not the only victim of non-delivered orders. I would go elsewhere for flowers or other gifts because you never know when this site will actually deliver your order.

My Viewpoint

I am disappointed in this florist. I paid a premium price for the flowers, extras, and delivery and got nothing. Had I not asked, I never would have known the flowers never arrived! That's not cool. I won't go back there and I don't recommend them to you. 1 star.
