1-800-Flowers.com Review

Every year we use 1-800 flowers to send an arrangement to my husband's grandparents who live in North Carolina. We usually send them a centerpiece for their dining room and I have honestly never received a picture of the centerpiece that we sent - I always just assumed 1-800 flowers was doing their job, which they probably were, in providing the best possible arrangement that can compare to the one that they advertise on their website.

We recently purchased a centerpiece this Christmas on a Thursday night, finding one that had "same day delivery" (which we assumed would be delivered that Friday before Christmas) and spent a whopping $75 on the arrangement.

I ended up getting a call the next day telling us that the florist was unable to deliver that day because he had already delivered early that morning. When the delivery was finally made, my husband's grandmother happened to take a photo of her centerpiece and sent it to me - which looked NOTHING like the one I had purchased online.

Now, I know that an arrangement is not going to look EXACTLY like the one that I purchased - but they didn't even come close. I ended up complaining (even though my husband's grandmother was pleased with the centerpiece - I wanted to get what I paid for - or close to it!) When her centerpiece was finally replaced, the florist made a comment (instead of just saying thank you, sorry for the trouble) that she was the ONLY one who had complained out of the thousands of deliveries that they had made this season. I felt this was completely unnecessary.

Needless to say, we won't be going through 1-800 flowers next year because of the florist they chose to do their arrangements. I do have to say that through it all, their customer service agents were EXTREMELY kind, and very apologetic which was very nice. Because of them, I just may go through them for someone else's arrangement. Maybe.
